1. Purpose
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Keia mobile application ("the App") published by Little Owl Media.
By creating an account or using the App, you unconditionally accept these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the App.

3. Service Description
Keia is a pet health tracking app. It allows users to:
- Create and manage profiles for their pets
- Record health events (vet visits, vaccinations, treatments, symptoms)
- Attach photos to health events
- Set reminders for appointments and treatments
- Save vet contact details
- Share access to pet profiles with co-parents
- Search for nearby vet clinics in emergencies
The App is available as a free version with limited features and as a Premium version accessible via a one-time purchase.
4. Registration and User Account
To use the App, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. Users under 16 must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are solely responsible for all activity carried out from your account.
5. Free and Premium Versions
Free Version
The free version lets you use the App with the following limitations: 1 pet, 1 photo per event, 3 active reminders, and a 6-month history limit.
Premium Version
The Premium version is available via a one-time purchase (non-consumable) at the price shown in the App. This purchase permanently unlocks all features: unlimited pets, up to 3 photos per event, unlimited reminders, full history, vet contact, and co-parent sharing.
Purchase Terms
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on your device. Payment, billing, and refund terms are governed by the relevant platform's terms and conditions. No subscription is required and no recurring charges will be made.
Purchase Restoration
If you change devices or reinstall the App, you can restore your Premium purchase using the "Restore Purchase" feature available in the App.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App in accordance with its purpose and not to:
- Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks
- Transmit unlawful, offensive, or rights-infringing content
- Disrupt or interfere with the App's operation
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free version limitations
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its content, design, code, and brand are the exclusive property of Little Owl Media. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.
The data and content you enter in the App (pet information, photos, notes) remain your property.
8. Medical Disclaimer
The App is a tracking and archiving tool. It does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations under any circumstances. If your pet has a health problem, consult a qualified veterinarian.
9. Service Availability
Little Owl Media strives to keep the App continuously accessible but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Access may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, updates, or in cases of force majeure.
10. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is". Little Owl Media shall not be liable for:
- Loss or corruption of data entered in the App
- Decisions made based on information recorded in the App
- Inaccuracies in vet clinic information provided by third-party services (Google Places)
- Any indirect damage resulting from the use or inability to use the App
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings. Deletion results in the permanent erasure of all your data (pet profiles, events, photos, reminders). This action is irreversible.

12. Changes to Terms
Little Owl Media reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of significant changes by notification in the App. Continued use of the App after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution before taking legal action.
Consumers residing in the European Union may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
